Final Project Summary: The Comedy Alliance

Let’s face it comedy, more specifically stand-up is an all-boys club (hopefully not for long).

My final project has been a passion project of mine since the start of this course and leading up to the final weeks has become a hybrid of sorts. I first wrote an op-ed piece and then promoted it on a blog I created called The Comedy Alliance. The op-ed is on the role women have had in regards to the history of comedy and provides a deeper account of all the hardship they have endured to make it as a comedian.

The blog is essentially intended to advocate and promote social engagement for women and other underrepresented individuals in the comedy world.

Amy Schumer's Spotify podcast

This has been a bit of a challenge in researching, designing and launching it live to the public, but I hope that everyone will enjoy it and promote it after the completion of this course.
